How Long will it take for me to Receive Workers’ Compensation Benefits?

September 20, 2010 by Robbins Law, P.C.

The Georgia Workers’ Compensation system is very complex, and each case varies. It is very hard to predict when you will get your first benefits payment. Most people who file on their own are denied benefits after the first filing. A large number of people who file a second time are also denied, and people who file three times are also sometimes denied. For that reason, it’s crucial that you have an experienced Workers’ Compensation attorney on your side. The attorneys at Robbins & Associate, PC have been helping residents in and around Atlanta get their Workers’ Compensation benefits in a timely fashion, and we can help you, too.

If your claim is accepted and the insurance company acknowledges that you are disabled, you will receive a weekly payment equal to two-thirds of your average weekly wage, with a maximum cap on those weekly benefits depending upon the date of your injury.

It is virtually impossible to predict when you will receive your first payment as each case is so very different. To learn more, please contact the experienced Workers’ Compensation lawyers at Robbins Law, PC today.
